Pesan galat (error) saat Anda mencoba menjalankan Outlook 2003: “MAPI32.DLL rusak atau salah versi”

Bila saat Anda mencoba menjalankan Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, program tersebut tidak dapat bekerja. Selain itu, Anda akan menerima pesan galat (error) berikut ini:

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook.

Menjelaskan masalah yang terjadi saat Anda menginstal dan kemudian menghapus Outlook 2007 pada komputer yang telah menginstal Outlook 2003. Saat Anda menghapus Outlook 2007, Outlook 2007 berkas MSMapi32.dll tidak terhapus dari map berikut di komputer:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Msmapi\LocaleID

Pemecahan masalahnya:
Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, ikutilah langkah-langkah berikut.

1. Jalankan Windows Explorer.
2. Temukan dan buka map berikut ini di komputer:
   C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Msmapi\1033
3. Klik kanan berkas MSMapi32.dll, kemudian klik Ubah nama.
   Catatan Berkas (Msmapi32.dll) yang diberi nama berbeda dengan berkas (Mapi32.dll) yang disebutkan pada pesan galat (error).
4. Ketik Msmapi32.old, kemudian tekan ENTER untuk mengubah nama berkas.
5. Jalankan Outlook 2003.

Catatan: Saat menjalankan Outlook 2003, program akan memperbaiki sendiri.

1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
3. Click to select the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click to select the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box.
4. Click OK.
5. When you receive the following message, click Yes to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore:
   You have chosen to turn off System Restore. If you continue, all existing restore points will be deleted, and you will not be able to track or undo changes to your computer.    

   Do you want to turn off System Restore?

   After a few moments, the System Properties dialog box closes.

Steps to turn on System Restore

1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
3. Click to clear the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box.
4. Click OK. After a few moments, the System Properties dialog box closes.
